The winery is specialized in white wines, as usual in this area, but it also offers a small range of great Friulian red wines.

The Collio’s territory certainly does its part: with its climatic variety and its subsoil composed by sandstone marls of Eocene origin, it represents one of the best areas in Italy to grow white grapes, offering wines characterized with good aromaticity and complexity on the nose, body and structure in the mouth, acidity and a mineral component which makes them particularly recognizable.

Situata nel comune più a Nord della DOC, quello di Dolegna, dove il clima è più fresco e i vigneti si trovano su colline ripide circondate da boschi ricchi di biodiversità.

Una cantina prevalentemente bianchista, come tipico di questa zona, ma con una piccola offerta anche di vini rossi friulani piuttosto speciali.

90 anni di storia racchiusi in un nome d’eccellenza, rinomato in tutta Italia e nel mondo.

Complice il Collio, che con la sua varietà pedoclimatica ed il sottosuolo di marne arenarie di origine eocenica, costituisce una delle migliori zone in territorio italiano per la coltivazione delle varietà a bacca bianca, regalando vini caratterizzati da buona aromaticità e complessità olfattiva, corpo e struttura, acidità e una vena minerale che li rende particolarmente riconoscibili.

For those who wish to experience something unique, it is possible to visit our historical cellar all year long, followed by a guided wine tasting.

The guided wine tour, apart from the vinification process explaination, is set out in a path with the name “Le Vite dei Venica“. This itinerary tells the story of the different generations of the family, where each door embodies a generation.

An interblend of history and modernity, even in the architecture of the cellar. Guests can visit the old cellar with old vintages, the oak cellar, the vinification cellar, the vineyard, the bottling room and finally have the wine tasting. A real emotional path…

We are in a really beautiful location… between the gentle hills of the Collio with the Julian Pre-Alps in the background and at only a short distance from the border with Slovenia.
Within our historic family complex, we offer 6 Rooms and 2 Apartments for a relaxing stay, pleasant moments of conviviality and flavours of our territory.
Our rooms are on the upper floors of a late 19th century country house, where the history of the Venica family had its beginnings and where today the ground floor hosts part of the suggestive Venica & Venica cellar.
We have converted the spaces into cosy modern environments, with an atmosphere that evokes the inns of the past, without however forgoing modern comfort and technology.
A stay where the traditions of the countryside are revived, moments when you can enjoy our wines in the evocative spaces created for you or take the opportunity to visit our historic cellar to discover some of the secrets of our work.
